12:51 am - Bibliotrack for 'Jeeves and the Tie That Binds'
Now, I haven't read every single one of them, but after reading 'Jeeves and the Tie That Binds', I am of the firm impression that it shall forever more be my favourite of P.G. Wodehouse's Jeeves and Wooster novels.

Find out why and see the bibliotrack...Collapse )

01:49 am - Bibliotrack- At Swim, Two Boys
Whereas the last couple of bibliotracks I posted were on the funny side, this one is for a book called 'At Swim, Two Boys' (I can't remember the author, and the book has long been returned to the library), and it's a heartbreaker. I can't really sum it up quickly-- there's a romance, and Ireland's war for independance, and it all just comes together into a very moving story.

So without further ado...Collapse )

01:42 am - Bibliotrack- Wigfield
'Wigfield' is the story of the small town that couldn't, written by the comedy team of Amy Sedaris, Stephen Colbert, and Paul Dinello-- creator's of 'Strangers With Candy' and all-around funny people. I read it and laughed various parts of myself off. I did a bibliotrack.

And now, on with the show!Collapse )

01:41 am - Bibliotrack for H2G2
Heya! I joined this group due to my love of making songlists for, oh, everything under the sun. I thought I'd make my introductory post a soundtrack for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy trilogy (actually, just the first three books in it, since I hated the character Fenchurch in the fourth...). I had so many songs, though, that I had to break them down into discs.

Technically, this is Disc Five of the gen songs for the H2G2 trilogy, but it's the one I had printed out and next to me, so it's the first I'm posting.

So follow the bouncing ball...Collapse )

Wow, this seems like a really cool commmunity- I'm always listening to a song and being reminded of a book, or vice versa.
To jump right in....I have a friend who's convinced me that the Eels song "Rags to Rags" is about Death of a Salesman. Any thoughts on that?

the only book i really associate with an album would be stephen king's "desperation"

for some reason while reading it i listened to the smashing pumpkins'- siamese dream over and over and now they just correlate in my mind. its a nice correlation.

something else, even though i saw the movie morvern callar first, i found it interesting (though morbid) and wanted to know what the character was thinking. So i bought the book, and also the soundtrack because i liked the music. It was fun reading the book and listening to the soundtrack to the movie.
anyone else ever do something like this?

09:12 pm - Bibliotrack
Introducing....Bibliotrack! A new community, thought up by myself and fabafaepotter the basic idea is: if movies, video games and TV shows can have soundtracks why not books? We also decided to extend the written word.

So, if you have a song, playlist, album, artist or diddley that reminds you of a certain book or fanfic, if you want to see what others recommend, or if you just want some new music, so JOIN!
